Left-behind children’s choir inspires
A special choir of left-behind children, who have one or both parents working far from home, will perform uplifting singing full of hope at an exhibition center in Guangzhou. Southern Metropolis Daily hosted the country’s first left-behind children choir concert last year. The newspaper searched nationwide to recruit 35 left-behind children whose parents are working in Shenzhen and offered them professional training to join the chorus. The choir debuted on Aug 21 in Shenzhen, impressing the audience and the children’s parents. On Saturday, they will travel to Guangzhou to share their stories. 2:30 pm, Aug 31.
