Left-be­hind chil­dren’s choir in­spires

A spe­cial choir of left-be­hind chil­dren, who have one or both par­ents work­ing far from home, will per­form up­lift­ing singing full of hope at an ex­hi­bi­tion cen­ter in Guangzhou. South­ern Metropolis Daily hosted the coun­try’s first left-be­hind chil­dren choir con­cert last year. The news­pa­per searched na­tion­wide to re­cruit 35 left-be­hind chil­dren whose par­ents are work­ing in Shen­zhen and of­fered them pro­fes­sional train­ing to join the cho­rus. The choir de­buted on Aug 21 in Shen­zhen, im­press­ing the au­di­ence and the chil­dren’s par­ents. On Satur­day, they will travel to Guangzhou to share their sto­ries. 2:30 pm, Aug 31.
