FOREIGN DIPLOMATS INVITED
Thailand has invited foreign diplomats in the county to observe the way security forces handle a massive antigovernment rally on Monday, dubbed “the final battle”.
The diplomats will see for themselves that the government plans to use peaceful measures that do not involve weapons and that live up to international standards, said Paradorn Pattanatabutr, chief of the National Security Council.
The diplomats will meet at the Foreign Ministry before heading to Government House, where the massive rally is expected to take place on Monday morning.
Domestic and foreign media have also been invited, according to Paradorn.
Diplomats from about 60 countries have been invited, and about 30 countries have accepted.
