Tanker to deliver LNG from Nigeria to PetroChina
PetroChina Co, China’s biggest oil and gas producer, is set to receive a shipment of liquefied natural gas from Nigeria on Dec 25, ship-tracking data show. The LNG Borno, with a capacity of 150,000 cubic meters, is bound for the Rudong terminal in China’s Jiangsu province, according to ship transmissions captured by IHS Fairplay on Bloomberg. The Bermuda-flagged vessel loaded the gas at Nigeria LNG Ltd’s Bonny Island terminal and departed Nov 24, the data show. PetroChina has no long-term contract to buy gas from Nigeria. The company operates the 3.5 million-metric-tonper-year Jiangsu LNG terminal; a 3 millionton receiving facility at Dalian, and the 3.5 million-ton Tangshan plant, according to data from Bloomberg.
