Lakers sign guard Marshall
The Los Angeles Lakers, who have been hit by a number of injuries to their backcourt, have signed guard Kendall Marshall to a multiyear contract, the team announced Friday. Marshall, a first-round pick in the 2012 NBA draft, was released by the Washington Wizards on Oct 28, three days after he was acquired from the Phoenix Suns in a multi-player trade. He has been playing for the Delaware 87ers of the NBA Development League since Dec 3. In 48 games with the Suns last season, Marshall averaged 3.0 points and 3.0 assists.
