Liaison Office offers lunch invitation

The Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the HKSAR hinted on Monday that the venue for a luncheon it would host for the legislators as soon as next month would be its own office. Hao Tiechuan, the office’s director of the Publicity, Culture and Sports Department, said it would be very sincere to host a luncheon for the legislators at “home”. The office has sought to return the favor after its director, Zhang Xiaoming, and other senior officials were invited to a luncheon hosted at the Legislative Council in July. The venue has been the subject of speculation as opposition lawmakers are hesitant to visit the premises of the office.
