Huayi Brothers, the coun­try’s big­gest pri­vate TV and film group, through its char­ity foun­da­tion Huayi Brothers Foun­da­tion, set up a pro­jec­tion room in Hainan el­e­men­tary school near Li­jiang, a city in Yun­nan prov­ince. The room is for kids to en­joy free movies and ben­e­fit from mul­ti­me­dia teach­ing. It’s the 100 th pro­jec­tion room the foun­da­tion has do­nated in five years. The pro­gram was ini­ti­ated to gen­er­ate far­reach­ing positive in­flu­ences on de­prived chil­dren, through good movies and bet­ter ed­u­ca­tion, in­stead of only dis­tribut­ing re­lief funds. The pro­jec­tion rooms have ben­e­fit­ted nearly 150,000 chil­dren across the coun­try.
