Hol­i­day bud­get an­nounced

The State Coun­cil an­nounced the public hol­i­days for 2017, which in­clude New Year, Spring Festival, Tomb Sweep­ing Day, May Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Au­tumn Festival and Na­tional Day hol­i­days. The last two, namely Mid-Au­tumn and Na­tional Day, are com­bined be­cause they are close to each other, mean­ing em­ploy­ees can en­joy a hol­i­day of eight days in to­tal. Tax cuts a boost for en­ter­prises moted. The two min­istries will de­cide which pro­grams get pri­or­ity sub­si­dies.

Pre­mier Li Ke­qiang said at a Nov 29 ex­ec­u­tive meet­ing of the State Coun­cil, China’s Cab­i­net, that the re­form to re­place cor­po­rate busi­ness with value-added tax will help en­ter­prises grow.
