Semi-sub­mersible ship de­liv­ered

China’s new­est and largest semi-sub­mersible ship, ca­pa­ble of car­ry­ing 100,000 met­ric tons of cargo, was de­liv­ered for op­er­a­tion on Thurs­day. The ship, is 255 me­ters long and 68 m wide. Guangzhou Ship­yard In­ter­na­tional Co, the builder, de­liv­ered the ship to Cosco Ship­ping Spe­cial­ized Carriers in Guangzhou, Guang­dong prov­ince. Semi-sub­mersible ships are mainly used to trans­port large cargo such as mar­itime plat­forms and can also be used in sal­vage mis­sions.
