Dog bite vic­tim com­pen­sated

A 16-year-old girl’s fam­ily had to seek po­lice help af­ter she was bit­ten by a dog re­cently and its owner re­fused to pay her med­i­cal bills. The dog owner, sur­named Li, claimed the girl had beaten his dog, caus­ing it to bite her. How­ever, po­lice pre­sented ev­i­dence to dis­prove Li’s claim in me­di­a­tion and he even­tu­ally agreed to pay 1,800 yuan ($260) com­pen­sa­tion.
