Fo­rum fo­cus on Chi­nese ex­pan­sion

The first China-US Devel­op­men­tal Fo­rum for the Mixed Mar­tial Arts In­dus­try was held in Bei­jing on Wed­nes­day, with more than 30 Chi­nese and Amer­i­can ex­perts and fight­ers tak­ing part.

Hosted by Wu Chi Tao Sports In­dus­try Com­pany (WCT), World Wrestling Net­work (WWN) and World Wrestling En­ter­tain­ment (WWE), the fo­rum fo­cused on the de­vel­op­ment and ex­pan­sion of MMA in China, the global pop­u­lar­iza­tion of wushu and fu­ture ex­changes be­tween Chi­nese and US fight­ers.

The or­ga­niz­ers also an­nounced for­mer world heavy­weight box­ing cham­pion Evan­der Holy­field will at­tend the WCT in­ter­na­tional MMA com­pe­ti­tion at Bei­jing’s Olympic Sports Cen­ter on March 18.

Cham­pion fight­ers from about a dozen coun­tries, in­clud­ing China, the US, Brazil, Rus­sia and Kaza­khstan will be show­cased.
