Forum focus on Chinese expansion
The first China-US Developmental Forum for the Mixed Martial Arts Industry was held in Beijing on Wednesday, with more than 30 Chinese and American experts and fighters taking part.
Hosted by Wu Chi Tao Sports Industry Company (WCT), World Wrestling Network (WWN) and World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), the forum focused on the development and expansion of MMA in China, the global popularization of wushu and future exchanges between Chinese and US fighters.
The organizers also announced former world heavyweight boxing champion Evander Holyfield will attend the WCT international MMA competition at Beijing’s Olympic Sports Center on March 18.
Champion fighters from about a dozen countries, including China, the US, Brazil, Russia and Kazakhstan will be showcased.
