2 tried over il­le­gal vac­cine trade

Two peo­ple stood trial on Fri­day for al­legedly sell­ing vac­cines without a li­cense, ac­cord­ing to a lo­cal court. Pang Hong­wei was ac­cused of il­le­gally pur­chas­ing and sell­ing vac­cines be­tween June 2013 and April 2015, ac­cord­ing to the Ji­nan In­ter­me­di­ate Peo­ple’s Court. Pang im­prop­erly stored the vac­cines she bought, and she earned 74 mil­lion yuan ($10.9 mil­lion), the court said. Sun Qi, Pang’s daugh­ter, as­sisted her mother and has been im­pli­cated in the sale of vac­cines worth over 42 mil­lion yuan. The pair pleaded guilty. A ver­dict will be is­sued at a later date, the court said.
