Mur­ray broth­ers on top of the world

Bri­tain’s Andy Mur­ray capped a stel­lar sea­son by be­ing named along­side his brother, Jamie, as In­ter­na­tional Ten­nis Fed­er­a­tion World Champion on Tues­day.

It is the first time two broth­ers have been named as men’s sin­gles and dou­bles world cham­pi­ons in the same year.

An­gelique Ker­ber won the women’s award, be­com­ing the first Ger­man to earn the prize since St­effi Graf in 1996.

Mur­ray sealed the year-end No 1 sin­gles rank­ing af­ter de­feat­ing Novak Djokovic to win the ATP World Tour Fi­nals in Lon­don.
