Li Yanzu is a pro­fes­sor and su­per­vi­sor of PhD can­di­dates at the Academy of Arts & De­sign at Ts­inghua Uni­ver­sity and di­rec­tor of Arts & Crafts Re­search In­sti­tute. He has been con­ferred dis­tin­guished pro­fes­sor sta­tus by the gov­ern­ment of Jiangxi prov­ince, where he teaches in dif­fer­ent uni­ver­si­ties. Li also su­per­vises PhD can­di­dates at the Jingdezhen Ce­ramic In­sti­tute, and is the pres­i­dent of its School of Ar­chae­ol­ogy and Museol- ogy. He is also a vice-pres­i­dent of the aes­thet­ics as­so­ci­a­tion un­der the Bei­jing As­so­ci­a­tion for Science and Tech­nol­ogy, be­sides be­ing vice-pres­i­dent of the tourism ar­ti­facts depart­ment of China Na­tional Arts and Crafts So­ci­ety. He is a mem­ber of the China Artists As­so­ci­a­tion, China Na­tional So­ci­ety of Aes­thet­ics, and China Na­tional Arts and Crafts So­ci­ety. Li has whole-heart­edly ded­i­cated his life to the cul­ti­va­tion of artis­tic ex­cel­lence in dif- fer­ent fields, in­clud­ing ce­ramic crafts and de­sign. His cre­ations have been col­lected by pri­vate and pub­lic in­sti­tu­tions as well as by in­di­vid­u­als.

Li won the in­au­gu­ral Na­tional Award for Dis­tin­guished Teacher in 2003, sponsored by the Min­istry of Ed­u­ca­tion. He also has re­ceived the Award for Dis­tin­guished Teacher in Bei­jing and Ts­inghua Uni­ver­sity Teach­ing Award. He is en­ti­tled to a spe­cial al­lowance given by the State Coun­cil.
