TPG will be 4th Sin­ga­pore’s telco

Sin­ga­pore’s Info-com­mu­ni­ca­tions Me­dia Devel­op­ment Au­thor­ity on Wednesday an­nounced that Aus­tralia’s TPG Tele­com would be­come the coun­try’s fourth telco — af­ter it won with a S$105 mil­lion ($73.8 mil­lion) bid for the band­width on of­fer. The au­thor­ity said TPG would be pro­vi­sion­ally al­lo­cated 60 MHz of the spec­trum band made avail­able in the auc­tion to bid­ders. The au­thor­ity said the new spec­trum rights were ex­pected to com­mence on April 1, 2017, which meant that could be the ear­li­est start for the new telco. AROUND THE WORLD
