Lufthansa pilots join arbitration

China Daily (Hong Kong) - - WORLD -

Pilots at German air giant Lufthansa said on Friday they would join arbitration over a long-running pay dispute that has hobbled the company with repeated strikes. “This mediation should open the way to a solution that does justice to both the workers and the company,” Ingolf Schumacher, spokesman for pilots’ union Cockpit, said in a statement. Lufthansa made a fresh pay offer after six days of walkouts by aircrew in late November cost the airline $104 million.
