One-night stand ended badly

An al­leged fraud­ster who is ac­cused of be­friend­ing a woman on­line, only to steal 9,000 yuan ($1,300) from her, has been de­tained in Xi’an. The vic­tim, 22-year-old He Hua, met the man, sur­named Wang, in July at a ho­tel. Ac­cord­ing to He, the pair had sex be­fore Wang asked to use her mo­bile phone to play an on­line game. The next morn­ing, she dis­cov­ered 9,000 yuan had been trans­ferred out of her bank ac­count. Ear­lier this month he con­tacted the police, who de­tained Wang. A 58-year-old woman has caused a stir in lo­cal me­dia, amid claims she was al­most re­fused a visa to Ja­pan be­cause she did not look old enough. Wang Xin­ling said her visa ap­pli­ca­tion was only ap­proved af­ter she showed a large num­ber of doc­u­ments and cer­tifi­cates to prove her iden­tity. Ac­cord­ing to her, she looks young be­cause she has a good at­ti­tude to­ward life and al­ways wears youth­ful makeup. Wang is also a mem­ber of a lo­cal song and dance troupe.
