Putin tells mil­i­tary to be ready for threats

Rus­sian Pres­i­dent Vladimir Putin told an an­nual end-ofyear meet­ing with the De­fense Min­istry to be ready for po­ten­tial threats at the Rus­sian bor­der. Ten­sions between Rus­sia and the West es­ca­lated af­ter Rus­sia’s an­nex­a­tion of Crimea in 2014. Both Rus­sia and NATO mem­bers con­ducted a flurry of mil­i­tary drills near the Rus­sian bor­der this year. au­thor­i­ties in­ves­ti­gated what caused the in­ci­dent. Au­thor­i­ties in Mexico state said the death toll could rise fur­ther be­cause 12 peo­ple were listed as miss­ing and some body parts were found at the scene of Tues­day’s tragedy in the San Pablito fire­works mar­ket in Tul­te­pec.
