The international Workshop on Aircraft Design and Control Engineering will be held in Hong Kong from Wednesday to Friday. It will explore the latest developments in various aviation fields. A series of seminars will also be held during the event. Huichang is a small county in the mountainous region of Jiangxi province. Mao Zedong once went to Huichang and praised the county’s scenery as exceptionally beautiful. However, poverty has become a serious issue there in recent years due to a lack of economic development. Encouraged by local and central governments, farmers there are now starting to plant fruits that fit local soil and climate, and have developed a booming business that helps them shake off poverty. In the coming days, China Daily will release a series reports on government efforts to reduce poverty in Huichang.
