Xi, Li send condolences
President Xi Jinping sent a message of condolence to Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday over the crash of a Russian military plane.
“I was shocked to learn that a military plane of your country crashed in waters near Sochi on Sunday, which has resulted in the unfortunate death of passengers and crew members,” Xi said in his message.
On behalf of Chinese government and people, Xi expressed deep sympathy over the accident and extended his sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims.
Premier Li Keqiang also sent a condolence message on Monday to his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev to express deep condolence to the victims.
