‘Missing’ woman’s phone stolen
A woman from Chengdu was reported missing in Urumqi, the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, after having her phone stolen. The woman, surnamed Zhang, went to Xinjiang on business on Dec 15 but could not be contacted for 10 days. On Dec 26, her father went to look for her, but was surprised to receive a call from his daughter shortly after he arrived at the airport. Zhang explained that her mobile phone had been stolen when she arrived in Urumqi. She said she only found out about her father’s search from a news report.
