‘Miss­ing’ woman’s phone stolen

A woman from Chengdu was re­ported miss­ing in Urumqi, the Xin­jiang Uygur au­ton­o­mous re­gion, af­ter hav­ing her phone stolen. The woman, sur­named Zhang, went to Xin­jiang on busi­ness on Dec 15 but could not be con­tacted for 10 days. On Dec 26, her fa­ther went to look for her, but was sur­prised to re­ceive a call from his daugh­ter shortly af­ter he ar­rived at the air­port. Zhang ex­plained that her mo­bile phone had been stolen when she ar­rived in Urumqi. She said she only found out about her fa­ther’s search from a news re­port.
