Use of HCFCs to be eliminated

China Daily (Hong Kong) - - CHINA -

China plans to completely eliminate the use of HCFCs in polyurethanes by the end of 2025, according to the Foreign Economic Cooperation Office of the Ministry of Environmental Protection. The substance, composed of hydrogen, chlorine, fluorine and carbon, is used in refrigerants and foaming agents and poses a threat to the Earth’s ozone layer.
