Old foes planning one last rumble
Nigel Benn said he is looking for “closure” after agreeing to a third fight against the man who beat him twice, Ireland’s Steve Collins. Both men are 53. Benn, known in his heyday as the ‘Dark Destroyer’, told the BBC on Thursday he and Collins plan to fight each other sometime this year and if their bout is not given the official stamp of approval by the British Boxing Board of Control, they will try to get it sanctioned abroad.
Benn, a former WBO middleweight and WBC super middleweight champ, was stopped by Collins in back-toback fights in 1996.
