Stolen items used to fund gam­bling

Three sus­pected bur­glars, ac­cused of com­mit­ting 197 crimes in two months, were de­tained in Luop­ing county on June 21. The trio, sur­named Zhao, Tian and Wang, al­legedly ran­sacked their vic­tims’ homes, even steal­ing items such as tooth­paste and cig­a­rettes. It is es­ti­mated that more than 150,000 yuan ($22,100) worth of items were stolen, with most of the money made from sell­ing the items hav­ing been spent on gam­bling.
