Car mart to sell brand-name autos at discount prices

China Daily (Hong Kong) - - PAGE TWO -

Suning Tesco’s first car supermarket will officially open on Saturday in Nanjing, Jiangsu province. Its biggest attraction will be so-called parallel-import cars, featuring brand-name automobiles. In a parallel-import car business, dealers directly purchase vehicles from a foreign manufacturer or trader. Prices for such cars are normally 10 to 20 percent lower than the prices offered by automaker-authorized dealers.
