In court, man admits killing 19
A man pleaded guilty on Wednesday to killing 19 people, including his parents. Yang Qingpei killed his parents in Yema village on Sept 28 after a request for money was rejected by his father, according to the Qujing Intermediate People’s Court. Fearing his crime would be discovered, Yang killed 17 of his neighbors, including three children. He then fled to Kunming, according to an earlier statement issued by the Yunnan Public Security Department. Yang expressed remorse and apologized to the relatives of the deceased. He will be sentenced later.
