Deal reached by Ch­ery, Daim­ler

Chi­nese car­maker Ch­ery has signed an agree­ment with auto giant Daim­ler about the us­age of their sim­i­lar brand names for new en­ergy ve­hi­cles. Ch­ery has been us­ing the eQ trade­mark in China since 2014 and Daim­ler now has al­lowed it to use the name out­side China. On the other hand, Daim­ler es­tab­lished the EQ brand last year in coun­tries out­side China and Ch­ery has now granted it the right to use the name in China.
