Deal reached by Chery, Daimler
Chinese carmaker Chery has signed an agreement with auto giant Daimler about the usage of their similar brand names for new energy vehicles. Chery has been using the eQ trademark in China since 2014 and Daimler now has allowed it to use the name outside China. On the other hand, Daimler established the EQ brand last year in countries outside China and Chery has now granted it the right to use the name in China.
