Ad­min­is­tra­tion re­form pi­lot project an­nounced

The State In­tel­lec­tual Prop­erty Of­fice has an­nounced a pi­lot project for com­pre­hen­sive IP ad­min­is­tra­tion re­form in the fol­low­ing re­gions: Xi­a­men in Fu­jian prov­ince, Qing­dao in Shan­dong prov­ince, Chang­sha in Hu­nan prov­ince, Suzhou in Jiangsu prov­ince and Xuhui dis­trict of Shang­hai. The sta­tus is valid for a year. The roll­out of the first list comes as a re­sponse to the cen­tral gov­ern­ment’s call­ing for com­pre­hen­sive re­forms in the IP sphere, rang­ing from cre­ation, use and pro­tec­tion to man­age­ment and ser­vices. fo­cuses will in­clude copy­rights of the press and pub­li­ca­tion busi­ness, e-com­merce plat­forms, apps on mo­bile de­vices and on­line stor­age.
