Administration reform pilot project announced
The State Intellectual Property Office has announced a pilot project for comprehensive IP administration reform in the following regions: Xiamen in Fujian province, Qingdao in Shandong province, Changsha in Hunan province, Suzhou in Jiangsu province and Xuhui district of Shanghai. The status is valid for a year. The rollout of the first list comes as a response to the central government’s calling for comprehensive reforms in the IP sphere, ranging from creation, use and protection to management and services. focuses will include copyrights of the press and publication business, e-commerce platforms, apps on mobile devices and online storage.
