Hukou Wa­ter­fall re­opens to vis­i­tors

Hukou Wa­ter­fall on the Yel­low River re­opened to tourists on Sun­day, af­ter tor­ren­tial rains in Shaanxi prov­ince caused the river to flood last week. The wa­ter­fall was closed to vis­i­tors from July 26. Hukou Wa­ter­fall, on the bor­der of Shanxi and Shaanxi prov­inces, is a well-known tourist at­trac­tion. It sits in a nar­row, pre­cip­i­tous gorge and is known for its thun­der­ing rapids.
