Stamps celebrate PLA anniversary
China issued a set of commemorative stamps on Tuesday marking the 90th anniversary of the creation of the People’s Liberation Army. The set, issued in Nanchang, Jiangxi province, consists of six stamps and a small sheet of stamps. It is the first time China has issued a stamp sheet alongside commemorative stamps marking the anniversary. The anniversary is celebrated on Aug 1, in memory of the Nanchang Uprising on Aug 1, 1927.
