Ships col­lide on Yangtze River

Two con­tainer ships col­lided on the Yangtze River at 10:55 pm on Mon­day near Taicang city. Fif­teen crew mem­bers were thrown into the water, along with 183 con­tain­ers, when their ship over­turned, au­thor­i­ties in Jiangsu prov­ince said on Tues­day. As of Tues­day morn­ing, 13 peo­ple had been res­cued and two re­main miss­ing. The in­ci­dent did not re­sult in any pol­lu­tion, the au­thor­i­ties said.
