Jor­dan, Ger­many sign aid deals

own pre­mium French brand, Mai­son de Grand Esprit, will im­prove op­por­tu­ni­ties for re­tail­ers to stock a broader range of TWE brands and al­low them to be­come more “nim­ble in re­spond­ing to mar­ket needs”. Jor­dan and Ger­many signed on Mon­day sev­eral aid agree­ments to sup­port sev­eral pro­jects in the king­dom. The agree­ment on fi­nan­cial co­op­er­a­tion for pro­jects of the Ger­man Development Bank (KfW) was signed be­tween min­is­ter of Jor­dan’s Plan­ning and In­ter­na­tional Co­op­er­a­tion, Imad Fakhoury, and Ger­man Am­bas­sador Bir­gitta Siefker-Eberle. The aid is worth 220 mil­lion eu­ros ($258 mil­lion), in­clud­ing 139 mil­lion eu­ros in grants, ac­cord­ing to a state­ment by the Ger­man em­bassy. The fund­ing will be used to carry out var­i­ous new pro­jects in the fields of water re­source man­age­ment, ed­u­ca­tion, em­ploy­ment op­por­tu­ni­ties and en­ergy ef­fi­ciency, the state­ment said.
