In­flu­en­tial gam­ing fair see moves to meet de­mand of na­tion’s in­sa­tiable mar­ket

A raft of vir­tual re­al­ity-ready prod­uct launches dur­ing Chi­naJoy, the coun­try’s most in­flu­en­tial gam­ing fair, has lifted the lid on the thriv­ing Asian VR de­vel­op­ment scene.

The lat­est moves to meet the in­sa­tiable de­mand from the gam­ing sec­tor were un­veiled at the event, held between July 28 and 31 at the Shang­hai New In­ter­na­tional Expo Cen­ter.

For hard­ware man­u­fac­tur­ers, VR-sup­ported de­vices are pre­req­ui­sites to cap­ture growth in the $20 bil­lion plus Chi­nese mar­ket that ac­counts for a quar­ter of the world’s gam­ing rev­enue, ac­cord­ing to mar­ket con­sul­tancy New­zoo.
