Thief dies after stolen car overturns on road

A thief who stole a car from outside a restaurant in Shijiazhuang was killed when the vehicle overturned less than four hours later. The car’s owner, surnamed Wang, had arrived at the barbecue restaurant at about 11 pm, but found his car missing when he left. Restaurant workers informed Wang his car had been taken by two men who were sat near him while he was eating. Wang reported the theft to police, who called back at about 2 am to tell him his car had overturned on a highway, killing one of the occupants and seriously injuring the other.
