Film: Big Fish and Begonia wins Hungary animation prize

- Big Fish and Begonia,

a Chinese animated film, won the first prize in the full-length film category at the 15th Anilogue Internatio­nal Animation Festival in Hungary on Sunday. The animation tells the story of a world within a world, unseen by any human. Animation talent researcher Shelley Page, a member of the festival’s internatio­nal jury, stressed in the jury chairman’s assessment, that the unique and magical universe of Chinese film and its memorable and complex characters, were deeply impressive. The five-day festival featured 13 full-length movies and 200 new short animations. In addition to screenings, exhibition­s, workshops and concerts were also featured in the program.
