Xu Ji­ayin, chair­man of Ever­grande Real Es­tate Group, recorded the sec­ond-high­est growth in wealth this year, with a net worth growth of $27.4 bil­lion, ac­cord­ing to Forbes’s lat­est rank­ings. Forbes tracked the net worth of more than 2,000 bil­lion­aires be­tween Jan 1 and Dec 14. Ama­zon CEO Jeff Be­zos, cur­rently the rich­est per­son in the world, topped the list, gain­ing $33.8 bil­lion thanks to soar­ing Ama­zon stock. Pony Ma, chair­man of Ten­cent Hold­ings, took fifth place. Yang Huiyan of Coun­try Gar­den Hold­ings, the rich­est woman in China, was ranked eighth. The Harbin Wanda Icy Won­der­land in Hei­longjiang prov­ince, with its col­or­ful lights, ice ar­chi­tec­ture and sculp­tures, pa­rades and iceskat­ing shows, has opened to the pub­lic. Be­sides an in­door music show, there will be con­certs and other ac­tiv­i­ties at the theme park to wel­come the New Year. With an area of 500,000 square me­ters, the park com­prises more than 50,000 cu­bic me­ters of ice and 100,000 cu­bic me­ters of snow.
