China has mo­bi­lized drones to gather air pol­lu­tion data in key north­ern ar­eas to as­sist an in­spec­tion of how well en­vi­ron­men­tal laws are be­ing en­forced, ac­cord­ing to the Min­istry of En­vi­ron­men­tal Pro­tec­tion. Sixty-four com­pa­nies are sus­pected of vi­o­lat­ing en­vi­ron­men­tal reg­u­la­tions dur­ing the in­spec­tion be­tween June 16 and 27.

The ac­ci­dent oc­curred in Huangyuan county at about 6:40 pm when a trac­tor crashed into a jeep and two cars. Po­lice said that the trac­tor’s brakes ap­par­ently failed on a long slope.
