In­for­ma­tion tech­nol­ogy expo gets un­der­way

The China In­for­ma­tion Tech­nol­ogy Expo will be held in Shen­zhen, Guang­dong prov­ince, from Mon­day to Wed­nes­day. Un­der the theme “In­tel­li­gent Era, Smart Life”, lead­ing elec­tron­ics and tech­nol­ogy com­pa­nies from home and abroad will gather at the event to show­case their lat­est prod­ucts. The event will in­clude a main fo­rum on the dig­i­tal econ­omy, two high-level di­a­logues for en­trepreneurs and economists, and five fo­rums on sec­tors in­clud­ing ar­ti­fi­cial in­tel­li­gence, smart tele­vi­sion and smart­phones. China’s op­er­at­ing fleet of Fux­ing bul­let trains will grow rapidly, as a new op­er­at­ing plan takes ef­fect on Tues­day. Ac­cord­ing to China Rail­way Corp, the na­tional rail­way op­er­a­tor, the new plan in­cludes ad­just­ments to routes, speeds and train num­bers. With ev­ery­thing up and run­ning, the to­tal num­ber of Fux­ing (or “Re­ju­ve­na­tion”) trains run­ning daily across the coun­try will reach 114.5 pairs, link­ing 23 mu­nic­i­pal­i­ties and pro­vin­cial cap­i­tals. The Fux­ing model is a new bul­let train de­vel­oped pri­mar­ily us­ing China’s rail­way stan­dards and tech­nolo­gies, with a view toward im­prov­ing the coun­try’s en­vi­ron­ment and rail trans­port ef­fi­ciency. The Jilin In­ter­na­tional Marathon in Jilin prov­ince will be open for reg­is­tra­tion start­ing on Tues­day, in prepa­ra­tion for the race on June 10. This year’s event of­fers 30,000 en­tries for run­ners in a 42-kilo­me­ter full marathon, 21-km half marathon, a health run and a fam­ily run.
