CPCto tighten its internal management
The central leadership of the Communist Party of China intends to strengthen internal management of the Party.
At a meeting on Tuesday, the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee said it will discuss stricter management of the Party at its Sixth Plenary Session in October.
“Regulations on intraParty politics will be mapped out at the plenum and Intra-Party Supervision Ordinances are expected to be revised,” said a statement released after the meeting, chaired by the Party's General Secretary Xi Jinping.
“The Party plays a crucial role in the success of Chinese affairs,” the statement said, adding that the work should start with “the management of intra-Party political life”.
“High-ranking officials must be exemplary in abiding by Party codes and regulations.”
Also on Tuesday, the Organization Department of the CPC and the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection sent supervision teams to 12 provincial regions to oversee locallevel leadership transition and promotion.
