The central leadership of the Communist Party of China intends to strengthen internal management of the Party.

“Regulations on intraParty politics will be mapped out at the plenum and Intra-Party Supervision Ordinances are expected to be revised,” said a statement released after the meeting, chaired by the Party's General Secretary Xi Jinping.

“The Party plays a crucial role in the success of Chinese affairs,” the statement said, adding that the work should start with “the management of intra-Party political life”.

“High-ranking officials must be exemplary in abiding by Party codes and regulations.”
