Shen­zhen to get new expo cen­ter

Shen­zhen in Guang­dong province plans to build the world’s big­gest ex­hi­bi­tion cen­ter with an in­door ex­hi­bi­tion area of 500,000 square me­ters, ex­ceed­ing the cur­rent big­gest fa­cil­ity which is theHan­nover Ex­hi­bi­tion Cen­ter in Ger­many. The new pro­ject is ex­pected to take five years. Shen­zhen­based Chi­naMer­chant’s Shek­ouHold­ings and Over­seas Chi­nese Town En­ter­prises Co onMon­day won the bid­ding for the new ex­hi­bi­tion cen­ter’s land with the to­tal price of 31 bil­lion yuan ($4.64 bil­lion)— a new na­tional record af­ter the Asian Games vil­lage to­tal price of 25.5 bil­lion yuan in Guangzhou, the cap­i­tal of Guang­dong.
