Bank of Albania allocates profits
Albania’s central bank has allocated around 1.095 billion lek ($8.8 million) of its profits to the State budget, the official statistics published by the Finance Ministry showed on Sunday. The ministry said the Bank of Albania profits transferred to the State budget in 2016 were higher than planned at the beginning of the year. The profits transferred last year amounted to 962 million lek. The contribution of the central bank to the State budget accounts for only 0.1 percent of the country’s GDP.
