Pub­lic do­na­tion plat­forms reg­u­lated

Echo­ing the Char­ity Law, which went into ef­fect in March and states that only qual­i­fied or­ga­ni­za­tions are al­lowed to hold pub­lic do­na­tion ral­lies, the Min­istry of Civil Af­fairs is­sued two doc­u­ments on whether an or­ga­ni­za­tion is qual­i­fied. In ad­di­tion, the MCA, to­gether with three other min­istries, jointly is­sued a reg­u­la­tory doc­u­ment that came into ef­fect on Sept 1, which re­quires me­dia out­lets and telecom­mu­ni­ca­tion busi­nesses to check the qual­i­fi­ca­tion regis­tra­tion of char­ity or­ga­ni­za­tions be­fore pub­lish­ing do­na­tion in­for­ma­tion for them.
