Man transports white tiger cubs
A driver, surnamed Yang, has been detained and faces prosecution over the illegal transportation of three white tiger cubs in Huzhou. Yang lied when his van was stopped for inspection in a parking area, saying the cubs were Persian cats. He later admitted to local forestry police to having transported the white tigers, which are now under the State’s protection. Police said Yang had broken the country’s wildlife protection laws. The cubs were sent to Wuxing forestry police station.
