Man lied in bid to inherit property
A man in Qingdao, surnamed Sun, lied in a bid to inherit a 90-square-meter apartment left by his father who died last year, a notary public said. Sun, 49, went to a notary office claiming to be the only son of his father, who was 90 years old when he passed way. Notary public Fan Ping, who did not believe Sun, failed to obtain sufficient documents from Sun’s father’s workplace and his household registration to prove Sun was telling the truth. However, after seeing Sun’s father’s tombstone, Fan learned that Sun has an older brother. Sun eventually agreed to contact his brother.
