Couri­ers use cars to rob pas­sen­gers

Three car couri­ers have been ar­rested by Chongqing po­lice for sus­pected rob­bery. The couri­ers, who were in charge of de­liv­er­ing new­cars for a lo­gis­tics com­pany, al­legedly used them as taxis be­fore hand­ing them to car deal­ers. They be­gan se­lect­ing vul­ner­a­ble-look­ing pas­sen­gers at night to rob. They used code words to de­ter­mine vic­tims and threat­ened them once other pas­sen­gers left the ve­hi­cles. The sus­pects, sur­named Tan, Li and Liu, have been caught, ac­cord­ing to po­lice re­ports.
