Newlyweds share love of pythons
Two pythons were exchanged as tokens of love at a wedding of two animal lovers in Jilin city on Friday. The newlyweds are both volunteers for an animal conservation project. Wu Jianfeng, the groom, was helping save an eagle with wing injuries when he first met Jiang Xue, the bride, who said she appreciated his kindness and love for animals. The couple found the pythons in the wild last year and saved them from dying. However, after seeing videos of the exchange, police arrived to inform the couple that it is against the law to keep wild animals at residential properties. The pythons were subsequently sent to the Jilin Wildlife Rescue Center. Wu said he had learned his lesson and would continue to help wildlife.
