New­ly­weds share love of pythons

Two pythons were ex­changed as to­kens of love at a wed­ding of two an­i­mal lovers in Jilin city on Fri­day. The new­ly­weds are both vol­un­teers for an an­i­mal con­ser­va­tion project. Wu Jian­feng, the groom, was help­ing save an ea­gle with wing in­juries when he first met Jiang Xue, the bride, who said she ap­pre­ci­ated his kind­ness and love for an­i­mals. The cou­ple found the pythons in the wild last year and saved them from dy­ing. How­ever, af­ter see­ing videos of the ex­change, po­lice ar­rived to in­form the cou­ple that it is against the law to keep wild an­i­mals at res­i­den­tial prop­er­ties. The pythons were sub­se­quently sent to the Jilin Wildlife Res­cue Cen­ter. Wu said he had learned his les­son and would con­tinue to help wildlife.
