South-Korea posts sur­plus for 56 months

South Korea’s econ­omy posted its 56th straight month of trade sur­pluses in Septem­ber, cus­toms data in­di­cated on Mon­day. The re­vised fig­ure for the trade sur­plus in Septem­ber was $6.9 bil­lion, up from a $5.1 bil­lion sur­plus the pre­vi­ous month, ac­cord­ing to the Korea Cus­toms Ser­vice. The trade bal­ance has stayed in black since Fe­bru­ary 2012.
