Auto show attracts fewer visitors
The ParisMotor Show 2016 lured fewer visitors compared with the last one in 2014, mainly due to a perceived risk of terrorist attacks, organizers said onMonday. From Sept 29 to Oct 16, about 1.1 million people visited the biennial auto exhibition at la Porte de Versailles exhibition center, down by 14 percent from 2014. “The decrease in the number of its visitors compared with the 2014 edition should be put in the context of the 15 to 30 percent decrease in the attendance rate of all national events since Nov 13, 2015,” organizers said in a statement.
