South Korean ex­ports edge up

South Korea’s ex­ports edged up for the first 20 days of Oc­to­ber due to a tem­po­rary ef­fect of a re­bound in ship­ping ex­ports, cus­toms data showed on Fri­day. Ex­ports, which ac­count for about half of the econ­omy, reached $24.99 bil­lion dur­ing the Oct 1-20 pe­riod, up 1.2 per­cent from the same pe­riod of last year, ac­cord­ing to the Korea Cus­toms Ser­vice.
