Otis launches new elevator plant

Otis Electric Elevator Co Ltd, officially inaugurated recently in Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang province, will be the successor of the Xizi Otis brand, the company said. The group said it would retain Otis’ existing elevator and escalator manufacturing operations, extensive sales and service network, management and workforce. During the inauguration, Otis Electric also announced the shipment of the 400,000th unit from its production lines. It was delivered to HangzhouMetro for use on its new Line 2.
