Re­vised law mulled on small firms

China’s top leg­is­la­ture is con­sid­er­ing amend­ing the na­tion’s law on boosting small and medium-sized busi­nesses for the first time since it was adopted in 2003, ac­cord­ing to a state­ment onMon­day. The re­vised draft was sub­mit­ted to leg­is­la­tors for a first read­ing at the bi­monthly ses­sion of the Na­tional Peo­ple’s Congress Stand­ing Com­mit­tee, which runs fromMon­day to Nov 7. rises, sales of com­mer­cial and res­i­den­tial prop­erty were up 50.5 per­cent year-on-year to 1.15 tril­lion yuan ($170 bil­lion) in value, the pro­vin­cial real es­tate as­so­ci­a­tion said. Av­er­age prices rose 14.1 per­cent to 11,168 yuan per square me­ter. Many cities in Guang­dong’s Pearl River Delta have seen ris­ing hous­ing prices in the past one or two years. In Shen­zhen, prices of some res­i­den­tial quar­ters have more than dou­bled since 2015.
